You like reading my articles? But when I read articles from other traders I am always interested in their performance<\/strong>. You, too? Not to compare whether I am better than them or not but to have an idea what’s possible<\/strong> and what I could set as my goal<\/strong>.

Stock candles to Christmas!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last week it looked like the chance was higher for a ranging market<\/a>. We had a little gap last Monday to the Open which was closed through the day. But the rest of the week we had the trading range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday was the expiry date for many futures. The day closed with a very high volume – almost two times the volume<\/strong> of the day before – and formed a doji.
A doji always stands for indecision<\/strong>. Bulls and bears are balanced<\/strong>. Maybe the energy is lost<\/strong> after the strong move upwards and we need more range days or to take a little rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to this fact I would say that it is more likely that we’ll see a range or a move to the downside next week.<\/span><\/strong> Around the Christmas days the volume is lower in general. That would support my expectation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My performance this year – in 2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I did not finish all my statistics but I know about the percentage my portfolios changed this year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before I show you the graphs I have to explain the kind of accounts<\/strong> I trade:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Swing Trading Account<\/strong> (this year a little mixed with long term positions that I do not plan to hold forever)<\/em><\/li>
  2. Long Term Account<\/strong> (positions of the US and German market I plan to hold forever)<\/em><\/li>
  3. ETF Account<\/strong> (an ETF mix representing the thought of a world portfolio)<\/em><\/li>
  4. Fund Account<\/strong> (yes, I have some funds of analysts that I know personally)<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Mostly the accounts (1) is discussed in these articles here on the blog because the others usually do not change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please, do not see these numbers as a confirmation that I am good or bad. And do not ask me for proofs – believe it or not. \ud83d\ude42 I just made it transparent<\/strong> because some of my readers were interested and it’s a nice theme for the end of the year. It’s a wonderful habit to look back<\/strong> and in twelve months we will compare<\/strong> the percentages with the new ones of 2020 together. I am excited!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Do I have a conclusion from the numbers?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Not really. Every year I am surprised that my boring long term portfolio<\/strong> with mostly German stocks performs better<\/strong> than my labor-intensive trading account<\/strong>.
    But because every number stands for the growth of a part of my capital, I am happy about the four numbers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
